frank black – teenager of the year – 30th anniversary double gold vinyl

Recorded amid a rich songwriting vein, just as the Pixies had been placed on hold, Frank Black’s ambitious 22-track album Teenager of the Year came out in May 1994, just one year after his fantastic self-titled solo debut. Recorded with scene legend Eric Drew Feldman and featuring the single Headache, Teenager of the Year is seen by many as his greatest solo work, subsequently appearing in both Pitchfork’s Top 100 Albums of the 1990s poll and the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die book. For its 30th anniversary, Frank Black and original band are heading out in January 2025 on a 14-date tour of North America, Paris and London where they’ll be performing the album from start to finish each night. To complement, 4AD are releasing a special vinyl tour edition of the album, with Kevin Vanbergen having expertly remastered the album from its original analogue studio tapes.

Little Richard roared back in 1970 with The Rill Thing, ditching the glitz of Los Angeles for the raw, earthy vibes of Rick Hall’s FAME Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Now under the wing of his manager, Bumps, Richard channelled his untamed energy into this album for Reprise Records. The Rill Thing proudly bore the slogan ‘The Little Richard Sound’ on its labels, delivering a rollicking mix of originals and bold covers, including tracks by The Beatles and Hank Williams. A wild, unapologetic return to form from the rock ‘n’ roll legend.
peter tosh – Wanted Dread & Alive – Yellow Recyled Vinyl

Wanted Dread & Alive, unleashed in 1981, roars back on 1LP Yellow Recycled vinyl, a fitting tribute to Peter Tosh’s legacy as a reggae icon and fearless voice against injustice. The album’s title channels Tosh’s defiant spirit and unyielding resistance to oppression. Tracks like Coming in Hot and Rastafari Is burn with his fiery lyricism, steeped in Rastafarian principles and unshakable conviction. A bold statement from a revolutionary artist, now reissued for a new generation.
the alan parsons project – pyramid – 45RPM audiophile edition

Pyramid, dropped in May 1978, is a concept album steeped in the mystique of the pyramids of Giza. True to the Alan Parsons Project’s ethos, it’s a sonic masterpiece, crafted with precision at Abbey Road Studios in London. The record features an eclectic lineup of vocalists, including John Miles, Colin Blunstone, Lenny Zakatek, David Paton, Jack Harris, and Dean Ford, each bringing their unique flair. Backed by session legends like guitarist Ian Bairnson and drummer Stuart Elliott, with Andrew Powell’s lush arrangements, Pyramid is a dazzling blend of meticulous production and imaginative storytelling.
nick heyward – north of a miracle – half speed master

Released in October 1983, North of a Miracle was Nick Heyward’s first solo album after leaving haircut 100. Produced by Geoff Emerick (The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Badfinger, Art Garfunkel, America, Supertramp and many more), the album features the hit singles Take That Situation, Whistle Down the Wind, Blue Hat for a Blue Day and On a Sunday. The album went on to sell over 100,000 copies in the UK, earning a Gold Disc Award. The album features the top sessions players of the time, including Pino Palladino, Steve Nieve, Dave Mattacks and Tim Renwick.
This new edition has been expertly mastered by Barry Grint at AIR Mastering from the original stereo tapes using precision half-speed mastering. Half-speed mastering is a vinyl cutting technique that improves groove accuracy and transient information, creating an incredibly detailed stereo image with a natural high-frequency response. Presented in its original gatefold sleeve, pressed on 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl, featuring an obi strip and housed in a poly-lined inner sleeve, with a 2-page insert.
melanie martinez – K-12 – Pink & Clear Vinyl

K-12 is Melanie Martinez’s long-awaited follow-up to her RIAA platinum-certified 2015 debut, Cry Baby. Produced by Michael Keenan—save for one track helmed by Kinetics and One Love (the team behind Dollhouse and Carousel)—the album doubles as the soundtrack to a hauntingly captivating musical film. brownstone – from the bottom up – 30th Anniversary Edition double vinyl
